Who we serve & program fit

A stable foundation. An individual path forward.

Summit Recovery Living serves adults seeking a safe, structured, and supportive place to live while working toward greater stability, recovery, and independence.

Recovery and stability do not look the same for everyone. Individuals may come to Summit at different stages of their journey, with different needs, goals, and connections to treatment or community-based services.

Our goal is to provide a stable housing environment where residents can establish a foundation, build supportive connections, and take meaningful steps toward their individual goals.

Summit may be a good fit for individuals who:

  • Are transitioning from treatment, recovery programs, homelessness, unstable housing, or other living situations
  • Need a stable and supportive place to live while working toward recovery and greater independence
  • Would benefit from structure, accountability, and a supportive community
  • Can live safely within a shared housing environment
  • Are willing to follow essential house expectations and community standards
  • Are willing to participate in household responsibilities and contribute to the home
  • Are working toward personal goals such as employment, education, financial stability, recovery, health, or independent living
  • Would benefit from connections to outside community resources and supportive services
  • Are willing to communicate with Summit regarding needs that may affect their ability to safely live within the home

Housing for men and women is based on availability and admission requirements. Serving North Texas.

Housing & recovery support—not treatment.

Summit Recovery Living is a recovery housing provider, not a treatment center, detoxification facility, medical provider, or behavioral health facility.

We provide housing, structure, accountability, peer community, and connections to outside resources when appropriate. We do not diagnose or treat substance use disorders, provide clinical therapy, prescribe or manage medications, provide medical detoxification, or provide 24-hour medical or psychiatric care.

Residents may receive treatment, recovery services, healthcare, counseling, medication management, or other supportive services from qualified community providers while living at Summit.

When additional support may be needed.

Additional medical, behavioral health, recovery, or social-service needs do not automatically mean someone is ineligible for Summit. Our team considers whether an individual's housing and support needs can be appropriately accommodated within our shared living environment and whether outside services can be coordinated when needed.

There may be circumstances in which Summit cannot safely meet an individual's immediate needs, particularly when someone requires continuous medical, psychiatric, personal-care, or clinical supervision that our homes are not designed or staffed to provide.

When appropriate, we encourage coordination with treatment providers, case managers, healthcare professionals, and community organizations so that housing can be one part of a broader support system.

Not sure if Summit is the right fit?

Every person's situation is different. We welcome conversations with prospective residents, families, case managers, treatment providers, and community organizations to understand an individual's housing needs and determine whether Summit may be an appropriate option.

Admission decisions are based on individual circumstances, program requirements, the safety and needs of the household, and current availability.

Our program

What to expect at Summit.

Life at Summit is centered around structure, accountability, community, and continued personal growth. Everyone plays a role in maintaining a safe and supportive home. Residents can expect:

A substance-free shared living environment
Respect for one another and essential house guidelines
Participation in household upkeep and shared responsibilities
Appropriate communication, accountability, and peer support
Individual schedules and goals within the structure and expectations of the home
A shared kitchen and dining table with wooden cabinets and black chairs

Shared responsibility. Personal goals.

Residents are expected to respect one another, follow house guidelines, participate in household upkeep, communicate appropriately, and remain committed to a substance-free lifestyle. Summit residents maintain their own schedules while following the structure and expectations of the home. Depending on their circumstances, they may work, attend treatment or recovery activities, pursue education, search for employment, or work toward other personal goals.

Connections beyond the home.

We help residents identify and connect with community resources that may support their goals, including employment, transportation, food assistance, and other local services.
